You-tube - a good time waster as you look at 'just one more.....'
I didn't even bother trying to access it at work as the stupid council filter would kick in.
I try really hard to stay away but sometimes I get sucked in. I was watching a video of a cat howling when one of ours came in the room, puffed up, hissing, then proceded to search for the in truder.
Library use - um book reviews, authors reading stories, short film contests.........
The possibilities are endless, say posting in conjunction with a wiki of recent library events.
You'd need consent though.
Podcasts - ok if you are someone who gets information by listening. I prefer to get news etc. by stories. Its helpful if you missed out on a lecture someone gave or, as a tutir of mine does, gives us tips on oral presentations.
E-books - ueful if you travel or have limited space. I've found I need to have info printed out in order to understand it. Online classes taught me that! & a book is eeasier to hold & cart around in my handbag, as well as smelling better.
